Budbreak in the Vineyard

Springtime brings many soft colors. This is a Merlot vine on Long Island just as budbreak sets in.

An excellent shot Steve. When spring starts here I can never take enogh shots of the buds starting to shoot out like this.

Another great macro Steve and the lovely tinge on the edge of the leaves, very appropriate for Merlot.

Hi Kim, I agree! This photo is what was, meaning I didn't mess with the saturation or color curves. It is cool what you see when you stop to look.

Wow Roy, yes the buds do look like they've been dipped in Merlot. I never looked at it that way!
