Today's Flowers are Apple Blossoms, Happy Mother's Day!

It was a long time coming. It seemed that winter just wouldn’t go away. Now we have apple blossoms. Halleluiah!

P.S. Don't forget to call your Mom!

Apple Blossoms appear to be a big hit with the birds as I too saw a lot of that yesterday. The Yellow Warbler just pops right out in that picture. Well done.

Happy Mothers Day Steve. ;o)

All the blossoms on the trees . . . it's a wonderful thing!

Our Mockingbird may have left but it's been replaced by a Catbird. I so enjoy their calls and squeaks on warm evenings.

Thank you Steve and what beautiful photos! I have some Apple Blossoms back in the woods and I always see a lot of birds in them but can't zoom in that far to see what kind they might be. Have a great day!

...your Yellow Warbler among the apples blossoms is gorgeous!! I wish I could find such a perfect shot. It must have taken your breath away when you saw it!
...and thank you for the Mother's Day wish!!

Thanks for the reminder.

Hi Chris, Kim (with the perky new mug shot), Ginnymo, I couldn't get the portrait shot of the Yellow Warbler, I had to improvise.

Hi Sharon, I would think that they do compete for territory. But Catbirds are such a “hide in the bushes” type of bird, who knows? I do enjoy Catbirds warbling too.

Well Joan, now that winter is gone, I’m looking for more bugs. I have some Common Strawberry (wild) pictures coming up in the next couple of days that you may like!

Thanks Kerry and Tabib.

Hi Kelly, I’ve wanted to take a picture like this for over 30 years now. I finally got my shots!
