Did you take these today Steve? Great shots!!!

My husband had to go to South Boston today and take a tour of a fish processing plant called North Coast Seafood. They talked about buying the fish in Gloucester, processing them, and having the fish in the store within 24 hours. From what my husband told me the tour sounded like in incredible experience! 34 degrees in the whole plant!

He also had a free Haddock lunch fresh off the boats! Said it was delicious! The plant has it's own little restaurant.

He just came and looked at your photos and said those are the bins he saw at the plant.

A great post. First you wonder what the gulls are so excited about then you see.

Hi Kelly, I've been ignoring Gloucester trying to get all the great wildlife from Palm Spring posted. I felt that I really needed to do a Gloucester post today.

Hi Sharon, Yes, I got out this morning and shot the fog.

Hi Martha, There are lots of excited gulls with the TONS of herring coming in!

Thanks DrowseyMonkey, Glad to have you stop buy.

Wonderful shots! I especially like the first and last one. Looking at that first one it's easy to see how they could damage a plane's engine. Amazing capture.

Your first photo was absolutely stunning........to be able to hang around a place like that all the time would be wonderful. Then, I saw your last photo, even more stunning. The gull was so clear for an action shot. Loved all the photos. Thanks for sharing.

Th first shot with the marauding gulls is just magical, the dead herrings make me sad but to see the successful thief at the end, cheers me up again.

You could tell this was a fishing boat just by all the gulls around it. :)

My first visit and it won't be my last. Your talent with the camera is excellent. I would be hard pressed to show you anything in "My Birds Blog" to equal what I have seen here today.

I can smell it! The fish, the sea - from my childhood! And the seagulls crying!

Amazing photos, but the first is my favourite - and the last is quite a "catch"! :)
