Common Eider
These Common Eiders were swimming by doing a little displaying and calling. This male was swimming with five females.

In a way he is kind of spooky looking. :)
Eiders are quite the majestic looking birds. I love it when one captures, as you did Steve, the birds stretching their wings to clean themselves and to release some excess tension.
These are utterly and absolutely magnificent shots!
I am green with envy at such mastery.
