I hope he ain't looking for me. Turkey Vulture

I'm a little under the weather, pardon me if I'm not out there commenting.

I took these photos last Sunday. I had a Turkey Vulture soaring around me. My only though was, "I hope he ain't looking for me."

I always enjoy seeing the Turkey Vultures and it's nice they have returned to the north east finally.

Usually I think they are spotting my Pug for a tasty snack. We rush him inside when they start circling : )

Oh my - what great shots! That bird doesn't excist in Norway! (thank you....) But - every creature in the nature has a purpouse, and is beautiful because of that fact - in my opinion!

It looks hungry though....glad you made it! :)

Great Series of the Vulture in Flight Steve. Whenever I see them, I know that death is nearby. They have quite the nose for decay.

Well if it's not you Steve, he's certainly got his eye on something (perhaps it was "squid" my word verification!)
Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Sharon,
I've never seen a turkey vulture take anything out, but being a little pug, I'd still keep an eye to the sky!

Hi Roy, Helen, Kelly, Frank, Eve, Kim, Joan, Kerri I'm at stage where I sound much worse than I feel. I'm about 80% today and no vultures circling.

Hi Tabib, I'm a little behind on checking out your posts, I'll be over shortly, my friend!

Hi Valkyrien, They always look hungry. I probably looked a little too gristly for him.

Hi Jenny and Natural Moments, they also have extremely sharp eyes and they forage together by soaring very high, miles away. When one drops, they all start dropping down to the food source.

Hi Lynne, Welcome to SMU! I'm so pleased you found us. TVs are some of the first raptors to make it to our area for migration. You're always welcome to drop buy, the light's always on and the door's always open.
