They're cute alright, but boy are they pesky! Nice close ups Steve. This way we can see their mischievous nature a little clearer ; )

Such cute pictures!! I love the first one where you can see the details of its adorable little feet.

Hi Kim and Sharon, I was just as thrilled to see the feet detail as I was to see the face details. I'm glad you spotted that.

Yes, they are pesky around feeders, but this little fellow was in the woods cleaning out this tree cavity, doing what he is supposed to be doing! It is easier to admire them when they are not being brats.

Hi Kelly, Thanks for the comment. I'm just digging the lighting on the first photo. When I took it, this is exactly how I envisioned it should look after it came out of the dark room.

Steve, these are terrific! Love the light, and the details are amazing!

Hi Steve, the second one is really brilliant. (what a pose)

Hi Steve, I have to agree with Roy, that second one is just the ticket. A real calendar contender in my opinion (if you ever did one) (-:

Oh, I know Jenny, I should monitize my blog, but being a starving artist has its drawbacks.

Hi Roy, What I like about shot #2 is that is it unique and it really happened. No peanuts, bird feeders, just a critter caught doing what he does.

Hi Mary, I think that the lighting makes the shot, especially in the first picture.

You could go up against the bunnies on the lawn with these!

Ah, a reference to the one and only wildlife photo contest that I entered and took second place to three bunnies taken in someone's front lawn. Nah, I fear no bunnies nor kittens with hats.

Great nature picture, Steve.
The first is my pick for best side lighting and clear uncluttered blue back ground.
Anyway both are great, and yes worth to be a calender pics.

WOW!! I LOVE that second shot!! Brilliant!!

Hi Tabib, I knew the background in the bottom shot would be tough so I opened up the aperture and tried to blur it out. Sometimes you have to take what you can get.

Hi Joan, glad you like the shots.
