Forgotten Photo Friday, More than a sunset.

Both of these photos were taken at sunset. But they are not of the sunset itself. It is so important to look around as the sun goes down. First we have the Eastern Point Light, which is here in Gloucester.

Here we have an Iceland Gull flying towards the sun. The highlights are dramatic.

Great shots. I love all of the lovely colors in the lighthouse pic and the fact that you were able to get the bird in there as well.

The Iceland Gull picture is a wonderful close up!

You're right, we do have to look at more than the obvious. The highlights on your gull for instance. We can all benefit from stepping back and thinking outside the box, photos included. Wonderful images, as always :)

Two excellent pics Steve. I love the sunlight on the lighthouse. It makes it look warm and alive and getting the bird in it too is great.

Dramatic indeed. Isn't it always wonderful when you upload your photo's onto the computer and see what you have? Such surprises!

Nice shot's Steve.

I know Sharon, an to be able to tweak them on my own is such a boon.

Hi Tabib, I'll be over a little later to see what gems you have posted!

Hi Joan, the shots do look warm, don't they? No Blue means cold today.

Thanks Denise, Kerri, NCMountainWoman and John it's always a pleasure to have you stop by.

Hi Kim, I think the gull in the Eastern Point Light picture makes it. I have so many ho-hum shots of light houses, this gull adds a little interest.
