High tide at the docks

© 2008 ShootingMyUniverse

This time of year we get our highest tides. With the full moon last Friday night, high tide for Saturday and Sunday are predicted to be +11 feet. Usually we have 8 to 9 foot tides. I like to go photograph boats at the docks at high tide because they stand tall and proud.

Great boat pics at high tide.
Yes, they look proud with most of them with feminine name.

I love pictures of fishing boats. I always like to look at the names of the boats.

I so miss the ocean whenever I see your photos.

Yes, I often wonder if they are somone's daughters or girlfriends or mothers. There are many named after men, of course.

I seem to have gotten a bit behind yesterday Steve due to a heavy workload. Sorry I missed this one!! :) These boats are so colorful and make beautiful pics which would be ideal for postcards!!
