Yup, with my camera I'd also have to be right down on top of the bee. Hope your storms isn't too bad. It looks as if we're going to miss out on any icy precipitation for a couple of more days.
Our gear isn't really set up for doing bug photography. I did a bit of macro work in my younger days. I had a Minolta XE-17 with a 70-200 zoom with a macro ring. Lenses have come a long way since then, but I miss that macro ring. B has the 18 to 200mm lens. I was off in the weeds with the 70-300 mm.
Welcome to Shooting My Universe. This is a daily photoblog of images from North America’s oldest working fishing port, wildlife photography and places I walk around.

Does B know about this? That she is a star on your blog today? LOL!
Now if that were me I would have to be right on top of the Bee to get a good shot. Your camera keeps a person much safer ; )
Great photo. I hope the storm isn't as bad as it is in Milwaukee. 1-2 inches an hour since midnight has completely shut down the city.
HI B!! Nice to meet you! Now tell Steve B to post your bee picture too!!
PS thanks for letting Steve leave his binocs and camera on the table!!!
I agree with Eve, we would like to see the pics too B. :) One of these days soon, you will be back to this weather...not long to go now. :)
