Saw the same kind of sunset on a drive south on Route 128 late Saturday afternoon. The clouds were pierced once by the bright white of a jet's contrail. It contrasted neatly with the fuzzy edges of the clouds. Beautiful shot.
This sunset was very exciting, with lots of textures. I'm glad you got to see it Chris. Thanks for all your comments. I like to know that I bring some enjoyment to people's lives. It makes it all worth while. Again, thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.

Those are very unusual clouds Steve. A wonderful picture.
What can I say besides "Awesome!"?
Absolutely spectacular! I haven't seen a sunset like this in a while.

Beautiful shot.
Wow! I haven't seen a sunset like that. I guess that's what John Denver meant by 'fire in the sky'.

Hi Twin, Yes, I heard guitar riffs in my head. "He was born in the summer..."
This is an amazing capture. It looks as though the field is ablaze.
You have a gift with the camera.
