I have one mushroom book that I bought when I was in grad school. After I graduated, my wife and I lived with my parents for a couple of months while we were getting jobs. There were 20 different mushrooms growing in the woods. I brought in samples and laid them out for identification and my mom ~freaked~. She thought I was going to eat them! This year, all of the mushrooms were getting munched on by the chipmunks and squirrels so I didn't get pictures of the real colorful ones.
Welcome to Shooting My Universe. This is a daily photoblog of images from North America’s oldest working fishing port, wildlife photography and places I walk around.

I'm not too handy at identifying them, but I try.
